VII Global Symposium Uniservitate: Designing maps of hope through service-learning
Date: 26th and 27th October 2026
Attendance: Hybrid Format
Organized by Uniservitate (Porticus + CLAYSS) and LUMSA University, the VII Uniservitate Global Symposium will take place in a hybrid format on 26th and 27th October 2026 in Castel Gandolfo, Italy.
Under the motto Designing Maps of Hope Through Service-Learning, it will be an opportunity for scholars, university officials, faculty, national and international Church representatives, and students worldwide to share experiences and ideas. The conference will feature presentations and case studies, providing different perspectives and approaches to solidarity service-learning (SSL) in higher education.
The third edition of the Uniservitate Awards will be presented, acknowledging outstanding SSL initiatives worldwide and honouring programmes that institutionalize this pedagogy. In addition, university rectors and authorities will participate in a dedicated meeting, while students will take part in activities specially designed for them, and teams from the various regional hubs will hold discussion sessions.
Within this framework, the Symposium aims to share experiences and reflections on solidarity service-learning and its contribution to building a better world at a time of profound changes in human relationships, knowledge and technology.
