Open Data Day

Tangaza University College recognises the importance of open data in promoting research among faculty and students. The Open Data Day Event on March 16, 2021, brought together faculty and students at Tangaza Univesity College to share experiences and opportunities that open data brings in our midst, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. The theme of the discussions were around the role of open data in countering the impacts of climate change in the region. The day was marked by planting indigenous at Tangaza University College compound and surrounding communities.

In addition, TUC is in the process of developing the service learning essays that were generated during the service learning week and publish them as OER (Open Educational Resources), thus the need of creating awareness among students and faculty on open data.
