The Service Learning Team planned a visit to Kamiti Maximum Prison in Nairobi managed by one of the Alumni at Tangaza University College. The outreach program was set to achieve one of the Service Learning Week’s goal and theme, “The Role of Service Learning and its Impact Amidst the Pandemic.” The visit created a platform for our counsellors and the prison officers to address mental health problems in prisons. A long term program was developed to promote psychosocial support among the prison officers.
