Tangaza University Hosts 4th Annual Africa Conference on Service Learning
On May 8 – 9, 2025, Tangaza University through the Service Learning office proudly hosted the 4th Annual Africa Conference on Service Learning under the theme:
“Service Learning and the Trajectory of Community-University Relationships: Reflections, Realities, and Future Possibilities.”
The conference was opened with an inspiring framing by Dr. Judith Pete, Africa Regional Hub Coordinator, setting the tone for meaningful and transformative engagement. Key highlights included powerful keynote addresses by Prof. María Tapia (Global Director, Service Learning Program) and Dr. Titus Pacho (Service Learning Expert, Kisii University), alongside guest speeches from Rev. Prof. Patrick Mwania (Vice Chancellor, Tangaza University) and Rev. Dr. Anthony Amissah (Dean of Students, TU).








Over the two days, scholars, students, and community leaders from across Africa and the world gathered to explore how service learning continues to shape innovation, sustainability, and social change in higher education.
